Over the next few months we will be monitoring developments in this splendid and often overlooked part of Spain. We will be including details of the Golf developments and especially one close to the superb town of Jumilla the internationally known Wine making town. Our other focus will be the town of Calasparra 45km North West of Murcia city centre.
Another highly underestimated Urbanization is Camposol Golf which benefits from a superb location only 15 minutes from the coast. Enjoy the inland benefits being surrounded by tranquility and mountains with the opportunity to go fishing, diving or simply relaxing on the beach only minutes away.

Calasparra

Calasparra has a population of approx 9,700 inhabitants and growing. The town is situated in the northwest region of the province of Murcia. In contrast to the surrounding arid terrain, Calasparra benefits from being crossed by four rivers, including the Segura. This has enabled the cultivation of rice, for which the town is famous for, and dates back to the 14th century. |
Camposol Golf

The golf course is now 18 holes with the second nine having been open less than a year and is more challenging than the first. I have read that plans are being made to upgrade the fist nine to bring them to a similar standard of the second. Camposol Golf is a great holiday destination if you are looking to explore the region of Murcia or a place to sit by the pool and relax. Surrounded by Mountains, 15 minutes from the Beatiful beaches of Bolnuevo and the Port of Mazarron and 35 minutes from the National Park of the Sierra Espuña. |
Murcia in general
In 2010 Murcia hopes to turn Corvera airport into an international one. This will hopefully allow the development of the Murcia area to reach it's potential.
